237 BBQ

Which part of the world has the best kind of barbecue? Martin Talvari is the co-founder of Myriad Life and his world travels have most recently led him to Australia, a well-renowned country for BBQ’s! ShaoLan and Martin discuss some cultural traditions relating to BBQ’s, not just in Australia but also in Taiwan. Of course, ShaoLan also takes the chance to teach Martin the Chinese word for BBQ and for many of the delicious things that go on the BBQ!

The way to say the verb “to barbecue” in Chinese is 烤肉. It’s a very logical word because  means “to roast” or “to grill” and  is the word for “meat.” When you roast meat, you 烤肉!
