What did Confucius famously say about being young? In our day everybody wants to stay young, but what does it mean to have a young heart? Carole Stone CBE, learns how to say young in Chinese and talks about the concept of being young, how to stay enthusiastic about life and keep a sense of hope whatever happens.

On top of this, Carole introduces One Young World, a foundation that brings young people together from all over the world to communicate, exchange ideas and problem solve, while also learning directly from some of the older experts in the world.

The word 年 means “year” or “age.” When we add the word for “light” 輕/轻 then we get 年輕/轻 “light in years” or “young.” Similarly, add the word 老 “old” or “experienced” we get 年老 “old in years” or simply “old.”
