Laura Esnaola

Entrepreneur

Laura Esnaola has been leading Care.com Europe as a Managing Director since April 2016, where she is responsible for almost 20 care platforms across Europe and the world. In addition to that management, Esnaola supervises the Care With Care project–an international program for the recruitment and integration of foreign nurses. Furthermore, she directs Care.com Europe’s B2B branch Global Workplace Solutions, which enables employers to provide their employees with comprehensive family support services.

Esnaola adds multicultural flair to Care.com Europe: The native Spaniard grew up speaking three languages, worked and lived in more than 20 countries, including the U.S., Spain, Argentina and China. Esnaola played a key role in numerous enterprises and educational initiatives of international importance, amongst them The Boston Consulting Group and the non-profit organization Endeavor Global. Her entrepreneurial spirit is completed by her social empathy and experience: During her studies at Yale University, she already developed a program that promotes the economic independence of women in rural Guatemala.

Esnaola earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in music from Yale University. She also did a MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2014, Esnaola was elected amongst the “40 Under 40” list of the Boston Business Journal. But not only as a businesswoman she is an exceptional performer: Esnaola also gives concerts worldwide as a violinist.

About Care.com

Care is a global need without geographic or demographic boundaries. At some point, every person and every family will have care needs, be it for children, seniors, pets or even homes. We strive to help our members– families and caregivers–pursue their passions and fulfill the basic human need of caring for each other.

Care.com’s premise is simple: Our consumer matching solutions allow families to search for, qualify, vet, connect with, and ultimately select caregivers in a low-cost, reliable and easy way. Our platform also provides caregivers with solutions to create personal profiles, describe their unique skills and experience, and otherwise differentiate themselves in a highly fragmented marketplace.
